Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generator, utilizing solid oxide fuel cell capable of suppressing the occurrence of cracks of the solid oxide fuel cell exposed directly to flame. SOLUTION: The solid oxide fuel cell C comprises a solid oxide substrate 1 of plate shape, a cathode electrode layer 2 formed on one of the faces of the substrate, and an anode electrode layer 3 formed on the opposite side face, and a heat reservoir 5 of proper heat conductive material is arranged and installed at the periphery of the solid oxide substrate. At the start of power generation, the heat reservoir absorbs a part of supplied flame and suppresses temperature rise of the solid oxide fuel cell, and the absorbed heat is propagated to the solid oxide fuel cell and used for temperature rise of the periphery of the substrate, thereby, the occurrence of thermal shock of the solid oxide substrate is attenuated. At the stopping of power generation, the heat absorbed in the heat reservoir is propagated to the solid oxide substrate accompanying natural cooling of the fuel cell, and the thermal shock occurring at the solid oxide substrate is attenuated.
