Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a processing capacity per unit time, and to detect a minute foreign matter without spending much time. SOLUTION: A device for detecting a foreign matter in a container is provided, which detects the foreign matter mixed in a container from an image obtained by photographing the container 1 being transparent and enclosing a liquid, by using a photographing means. The device comprises: a plurality of photographing means 37a-37d arranged so as to correspond to regions which are obtained by dividing an extent to be photographed of the container 1 into an arbitrary number of ones in lengthwise and crosswise directions; and an image processing means 60 which executes an image processing of image data obtained by respective photographing means about the divided regions of the container, and detects the foreign matter mixed in the container.
