AUTOMATED TWO-DIMENSIONAL ELECTROPHORETIC DEVICE, AND DEVICE COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate two-dimensional electrophoresis, to enhance convenience of the two-dimensional electrophoresis, to reduce worker dependency, and to enhance reproducibility of a result. SOLUTION: A sample separation component 20 used for a sample separator 100 is provided with a holding means 3 for holding the first medium support 16 for supporting a first medium 15, and a driving means 4 for moving a fixing means 1 or the holding means 3 along a parallel direction or a perpendicular direction with respect to a plane comprising the first direction and the second direction. The sample separation component 20 has an insulation member 20a for storing a second medium 24 for separating the separation sample separated along the first direction in the first medium 15 further along the second direction different from the first direction, the insulation member 20a has a first opening 25 and the second opening 26 for specifying the second direction for electrifying the second medium 24, and the second opening 26 has a shape for bonding the first medium including the separation sample to the second medium along the first direction.
