Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein a conventional solid state imaging device in practical use has a dynamic range of only 102to 103times and cannot acquire information on a high luminance object, by employing a solid state imaging device comprising a photoelectric conversion device and a feature control circuit for controlling voltage applied to the photoelectric conversion device, wherein the feature control circuit comprises a transfer circuit and a reset circuit, and wherein drive power voltage of the transfer circuit and the reset circuit consists of a control pulse voltage composed of transfer pulse voltage and reset pulse voltage, and drive bias voltage, by using a drive method characterized in that the drive bias voltage is established to an intermediate voltage value between the control pulse voltage and the base voltage, and the dynamic range is improved drastically. SOLUTION: A solid state imaging device having linear characteristics for a low luminance object and logarithmic function characteristics for a high luminance object and switching automatically according to object luminance can be realized by the drive method.
