METHOD OF EVALUATING CHARACTERISTICS OF THERMOELECTRIC ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of evaluating characteristics of a thermoelectric element for solving existing problems and calculating individual constants such as a Peltier coefficient, Seebeck coefficient and thermal resistance. SOLUTION: The method of evaluating characteristics of the thermoelectric element includes a step of causing AC current to flow between two contacts while keeping one of the two contacts of the thermoelectric element approximately at a constant temperature, and further a step of superimposing DC current between the two contacts.
