OPTICAL COUPLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-manage optical coupler at low cost by using a die commonly for molding a secondary mold. SOLUTION: A primary light emitting portion 10 and a primary light-receiving portion 13 formed by performing primary molding of a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element are provided with secondary light-emitting portion 36 and a secondary light-receiving portion 39 formed through secondary molding. Jointing parts 37 and 40 projecting in the facing direction and a guide portion 42 are formed at the secondary light-emitting portion 36 and the secondary light-receiving portion 39. A protrusion 38, a recess 41, and a recess 43 are formed, respectively, on the secondary light-emitting portion 36 side, the secondary light-receiving portion 39 side and the guide portion 42 side, continuously along the longitudinal direction in the jointing parts 37 and 40. The jointing parts 37 and 40 are bonded to each other and the guide portion 42 is also bonded, by fitting the protrusion 38 to the recesses 41 and 43, such that the joints 37 and 40 overlap the guide portion 42, at an interval for adjusting the secondary light-emitting portion 36 and the secondary light-receiving portion 39.
