Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counting device which can perform counting with high degree of precision with limited constraints of imaging conditions. SOLUTION: The counting device 100 is provided with; an imaging means 1 which images continuously an end face of longitudinal direction of each long object B; and an image processing means 2 which carries out image processing of each imaging frame. The imaging means sets up an imaging frame rate such that a maximum value of moving distance of each long material predicted between the Nth frame and the (N+1)st frame become smaller than the minimum value of distance predicted between one long material of the Nth frame and the other long material of the (N+1)st frame. An image processing means homologizes unique identifiers to the long material extracted for the first time. Then distance between long materials extracted from the Nth frame and the (N+1)st frame respectively are computed. Further identifiers homologized to long materials extracted from the Nth frame are successively homologized to the shortest long material in terms of calculated distance inside long materials extracted from the (N+1)st frame.
