Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the irregularity of density among respective photoreceptors with a simple structure when different photoreceptors are separately scanned and exposed to light beams emitted from a light source having a plurality of light emitting points. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner in which the plurality of light beams emitted from the single light source having the plurality of light emitting points are separated and the photoreceptors for respective colors are scanned and exposed, a light quantity correction timing signal, which is made by respectively composing light quantity correction timing signals expressing the timing of the change in the light quantity correction of respective colors by using a reference clock signal CLK, and a light quantity change signal, which is made by respectively composing light quantity correction UP/DOWN signals expressing the change in the light quantity correction of the respective colors by using the reference clock signal CLK, are input, the light quantity correction timing signal is separated into the light quantity correction timing signals for respective colors, the light quantity correction UP/DOWN signal is separated into the light quantity correction UP/DOWN signals for respective colors on the basis of the clock signal and the light quantity correction UP/DOWN signal, and the light quantities of the light beams emitted from the respective light emitting points of the light source are corrected.
