Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofuran derivative, capable of highly selectively producing the 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofuran derivative at a high yield by a simple method, by using a raw material which is economically and easily available or capable of easily synthesized, and to provide a new 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofuran derivative. SOLUTION: The method for producing a 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofuran derivative comprises reacting a dihydrofuran compound with an α,β-unsaturated carbonate to produce the 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofuran derivative in the presence of a ruthenium complex catalyst containing zerovalent or divalent ruthenium.
