METHOD FOR ARTIFICIALLY CULTURING LYOPHYLLUM SHIMEJI AND CULTURE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical method for artificially culturing Lyophyllum shimeji in which commercial production is made possible and to provide a culture medium. SOLUTION: A mixed medium for artificially culturing Lyophyllum shimeji is prepared by adding and mixing a medium containing corn and sawdust with a small amount of wheats and/or rices. The method for artificially culturing Lyophyllum shimeji comprises inoculating the mixed medium with Lyophyllum shimeji in a moist condition and culturing Lyophyllum shimeji and generating the fruit body of Lyophyllum shimeji by using the medium. The present invention enables culture and production of Lyophyllum shimeji in better yield, compared with a case in which corn and sawdust are used as the medium by using a solid culture medium obtained by adding and mixing a small amount of wheats and/or rices with inexpensive corn and sawdust which are main components.
