PRESSURE CONTACT TYPE CONNECTOR FOR FLAT CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure contact type connector for a flat cable capable of pulling and insertion of a connector body into a socket rapidly and smoothly. SOLUTION: The pressure contact type connector for the flat cable is provided with an operating piece 7 for pulling out to pull out a plug portion 1 of the connector body 2 which is inserted into the socket by extending to the back from the rear face of a cable holding member 6. The vertical dimension in up and down direction and the horizontal dimension in right and left direction of the three members 2, 5, 6 are established in the nearly same length so that the connector body 2, a pressing member 5 which is superposed from the back to the rear side of this and held engaged in order, and the cable holding member 6 may be overlapped in superposing direction, and the lateral side face at right and left side of the operating piece 7 is formed in a recessed part 8 recessed in arc shape where the body of a finger enters.
