Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly battery charger which allows users to easily recognize not only the present charging capacity on charge, but also the available time of electronic equipment that uses this battery pack being charged at the present charging capacity. SOLUTION: This battery charger comprises charging means 3 for charging a battery cell 20 of the loaded battery pack 4, computing means 5 which is supplied with both charging current ampere-hour amount data computed from charging current values for the battery cell 20 and power consumption data of the electronic equipment that uses the battery pack 4, while calculates charging capacity on charge of the battery cell 20 and available time of the electronic equipment that uses the battery pack 4 from the above charging current ampere-hour amount data and power consumption data in charging of the battery pack 4, and display means 6 for displaying computational result. The display means 6 displays both the information which indicates level of charging capacity in phases and the information which indicates the available time for the electronic equipment, during charge of the battery pack 4 by the charging means 3.
