Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably transmit high load by effectively exercising torque cam effect and preventing slipping of belt 7 under a positive load state for transmitting load from a driving pulley 3 to a driven pulley 5, in a belt type continuously variable transmission wherein the driven pulley 5 is provided with a spring 10 for energizing its movable sieve 5b, and a torque cam mechanism 14. SOLUTION: A belt groove face angle θpm to an orthogonal plane orthogonal to a pulley rotating axis, of a movable sieve-side groove side face 6b of a belt groove 6 of the driven pulley 5 is determined to be larger than a belt side face angle θbm to an orthogonal plane of a belt side face 7b kept into contact with the movable sieve-side groove side face 6b, and a belt groove face angle θpf to an orthogonal plane of a fixed sieve-side groove side face 6a is determined to be smaller than the belt side face angle θbf to an orthogonal plane of the belt side face 7a kept into contact with the fixed sieve-side groove side face 6a.
