SURFACE TREATING METHOD USING CARBON DIOXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for the surface treatment of a solid substance by using high-pressure carbon dioxide containing a silane compound dissolved therein. SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for the surface-treatment of a solid substance by dissolving a silane compound in high-pressure carbon dioxide and treating the surface of the solid substance with the solution, a method for improving the wettability of the surface of a solid substance by dissolving a silane compound in high-pressure carbon dioxide and treating the surface of the solid substance with the solution, a solid substance having improved wettability and produced by adding a silane compound to the surface of the solid substance to be treated, a wettability improving agent for a solid substance composed of a composition produced by dissolving a silane compound in high-pressure carbon dioxide, and a surface-treatment apparatus for a solid substance provided with a means for supplying high-pressure carbon dioxide, a means for introducing a surface-treating agent and a pressure vessel for the surface-treatment of the treating object.
