SOLUTION: In this vehicle storage compartment structure 10, a lock mechanism 24 has a first lock mechanism part 26 and a second lock mechanism part 28 applying resistance to a storage compartment 14 at least at two points of the storage compartment 14. This structure eliminates the necessity of generating resistance needed to lock the storage compartment 14 by one lock mechanism part, and resistance necessary for locking the storage compartment 14 may be generated by the entire lock mechanism 24 combining the first lock mechanism part 26 with the second lock mechanism part 28. Therefore, it is unnecessary to make structures of the respective lock mechanism parts 26, 28 solid, and these structures may be simplified.
