METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PROCESSING MACHINE FOR SHEET MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a continued printing job or a continued printing job in a varnishing mode when an accident has occurred, in a processing machine equipped with at least one independently driven printing cylinder for bearing a printing matrix. SOLUTION: This problem can be solved as follows: (1) The speed ratio between a plate cylinder 10 and a rubber blanket cylinder 8 or the speed ratio between a plate cylinder 9 and a sheet guide cylinder 6, is to be set to other than 1:1. (2) it is monitored whether or not an individual drive part is out of order, and as soon as the failure occurs, the synchronization of an angular position between the cylinder of a printer 1 or a varnishing device 2 to be driven by a main drive part and a gear train, and the plate cylinder 10 or the plate cylinder 9 to be normally driven by the individual drive part, is achieved by a plurality of operating steps using a control device.
