Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method of synchronizing data streams from data acquisition processors (120, 135). SOLUTION: The system and method uses a shared signal by data acquisition processors (120,135) to trigger the measurement of a data sampling signal. These measurements are averaged and compared with an expected phase, whereby a data transfer rate of either of the data acquisition processors (120, 135) is adjusted if a compound shows a difference greater than a maximum drift rate.
