Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving circuit of a plasma display panel which can reduce power loss. SOLUTION: The driving circuit is equipped with a scanning electrode driving circuit part 110 which applies a driving voltage to a scanning electrode of the plasma display panel. The scanning electrode driving circuit part 110 is equipped with a sustain clamp circuit 112 which applies a sustain discharge pulse and a reset circuit 113 which applies a reset pulse. The sustain clamp circuit 112 has a power supply terminal VS having a higher potential than a ground potential, a switch S3 enabling the power supply terminal VS to be connected to a scanning electrode, a ground terminal G1, and a switch S4 enabling the ground terminal G1 to be connected to the scanning electrode. The reset circuit 113 has a power supply terminal VW having a lower potential than the ground and a switch S8 enabling the power supply terminal VW to be connected to the scanning electrode. The sustain clamp circuit 112 is equipped with a current cutoff element S5 which cuts off a current from the ground terminal G1 to the power supply terminal VW. The current cutoff element S5 is arranged avoiding a part serving as a path for a current i11 when a voltage is applied from the power supply terminal VS to the scanning electrode.
