PIPE MEMBER PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate a pipe member at a prescribed separating portion with high working efficiency and simple constitution while preventing releasing of fluid to atmospheric air, with respect to a pipe member processing method for separating the linear pipe member in which fluid such as city gas flows, at the prescribed separating portion. SOLUTION: This pipe member processing method includes processes of: winding extendable fluid-impermeable adhesive tape materials 4a, 4b onto the separating portion 2a in a state of covering between a pair of pipe parts 1a, 1b through the separating part 2a of the pipe member 1; shifting relative positions of the pair of pipe parts 1a, 1b in the direction intersecting with the pipe axial direction while extending the wound adhesive tape materials 4a, 4b in such a state that the pair of pipe parts 1a, 1b are separated from each other at the separating portion 2a; closing the adhesive tape materials 4a, 4b between the pair of pipe parts 1a, 1b; and cutting the adhesive tape materials 4a, 4b between the pair of pipe parts 1a, 1b, are successively executed.
