METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY FETCHING BROADCAST A/V PROGRAM IDENTIFICATION DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to use an EPG to determine whether a program is to be broadcasted on different channels concurrently or indifferent time periods, or if the program is to be re-broadcasted on othe channel later or not and to notify users of it. SOLUTION: A broadcast receiver has a step to receive a user input indicating a first program, a step to analyze the EPG, the received broadcast data, a step to determine a broadcasting data for the first program, a step to automatically detect that the second identical program is to be broadcasted, and a step to show user an indication of having detected the second program. Additionally, when the identical programs are broadcasted in different times or on channels with different interruptions due to commercial messages, user can select the channel with less commercial messages for viewing or recording.
