Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical, inexpensive brake shoe enabling the minimization of a scrapped material, preventing a clearance from being formed at its upper surface center part of T-shape, and economically manufacturable at low cost by a simple operation. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for a brake shoe, a short block-like metal A having such a dimension that can provide a single circular-arc like brake shoe is processed in a T-shape having a flat part and a projected portion vertical to the flat part by a hot rolling method and further processed in a circular arc shape so that the projected portion comes on the inside to provide a circular arc-like metal processed part. Next, a friction member is secured or integrally molded to the flat part on the outer surface of the circular arc-like metal processed part. Furthermore, the friction member is secured or integrally molded to the flat part on the outer surface of the circular arc-like metal processed part manufactured by using a short block-shaped metal having such a dimension that can provide a single circular arc-like brake shoe and a long block-shaped metal with such a dimension that can provide a plurality of circular arc-like brake shoes.
