Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a fabric containing cellulosic fiber in which embrittlement of yellowing and hardening, etc., of touch feeling of a cellulosic fiber does not occur even when dry heat setting of the fabric at high temperature is carried out. SOLUTION: The method for carrying out pretreatment of the fabric containing the cellulosic fiber comprises applying 0.1-10.0 wt.% treating liquid containing a sulfonic acid salt having ≤1,000 molecular weight to the fabric and then carrying out dry heat setting of the fabric. According to the present invention, occurrence of embrittlement such as yellowing, lowering of strength of the cellulosic fiber is prevented by applying the treating liquid containing sulfonic acid to the fabric containing the cellulosic fiber when pre-setting processing is carried out. After the treating liquid is applied to the fabric, dry heat setting is carried out. The dry heat setting is extremely effective when dry heat setting temperature is 180-200°C.
