PORTABLE TELEPHONE SET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set having a function of holding a selection condition designated by a user to a maximum extent, while preventing a state where the portable telephone set becomes inoperable when a PRL is acquired. SOLUTION: When the PRL is newly acquired, it is determined whether a base station corresponding to the selection condition for designating whether the base station provided by a communication system and a roaming service is utilized or not, and the selection condition for designating a data communication system is included in the new PRL or not, based on the newly acquired PRL and the designated selection condition. When inclusion is determined, each designated selection condition is not changed. When inclusion is not determined, each selection condition is changed so as to allow the whole base stations included in the PRL to be a scanning object. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
