OPERATION MECHANISM OF ELECTRIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation mechanism of an electric device allowing an operation knob to be simply and correctly attached thereto and excelling in assembly workability. SOLUTION: This operation mechanism is provided with: a switch element 2 mounted on a circuit board 1; an upper housing 3 having an opening 7 and covering the circuit board 1; and the operation knob 5 having an operation rod 9 drooped therefrom and rotatably supported to the upper housing 3; and is so structured that, when the operation knob 5 is rockingly operated, the operation rod 9 drives actuators 10 and 11 of the switch element 2. In the operation mechanism, a widened part 9a is formed at the tip part of the operation rod 9; a guide groove 3c for guiding the operation rod 9 in an assembly process is formed in an inside wall part of the upper housing 3; and, when the operation knob 5 is attached, the operation rod 9 is inserted into the opening 7 with the widened part 9a engaged with the guide groove 3c and the operation knob 5 is snap-connected to the upper housing 3 when the widened part 9a is separated from the guide groove 3c.
