Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can improve power generation performance by supplying oxygen to a catalyst effectively, and a method for manufacturing the fuel cell. SOLUTION: A fuel cell 100 comprises an electrolyte film 11, and an anode 12 and a cathode 13 arranged on both sides of the electrolyte film 11, respectively. The anode 12 and the cathode 13 have at least catalyst layers 12a, 13a respectively, the catalyst layer 13a of the cathode has an oxygen absorbent 4, a catalyst 5, and a proton conductor 6.
