Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the operating area of an internal combustion engine while avoiding the rise of temperature of an exhaust system when the abnormal jetting of an injector occurs. SOLUTION: When the operating area of the engine is within areas 650, 660, a fuel increasing control (fuel amount increasing control) is performed to set a fuel injection amount larger than a fuel injection amount according to a theoretical air-fuel ratio under the conditions that the abnormality of injection does not occur in the injector. If a cylinder which stops to jet a fuel due to the occurrence of defective injection from the injector occurs, fuel cut is not performed in both the areas 650 and 660 but, in a part of the area 660, fuel injection is performed according to the theoretical air-fuel ratio at which the fuel amount increasing control is stopped. Consequently, the operating area for the engine when the abnormal injection occurs in the injector can be secured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
