PASSENGER ABNORMALITY SENSING DEVICE OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger abnormality sensing device for an elevator capable of preventing passenger(s) from being confined by sensing the height of passengers. SOLUTION: The passenger abnormality sensing device of the elevator is equipped with a stereo image processing means 8 to make a stereo image processing on the basis of image data given by two cameras 7 and 7A to photograph inside an elevator car, a moving body sensing means 9 to sense a moving body in the car using the image data prepared by the stereo image processing means 8, a height measuring means 10 to measure the height of the moving body in the car using the image data prepared by the stereo image processing means 8, a moving body height sensing means 11 to sense the height of the moving body top in the car on the basis of the sensing results of the moving body sensing means 9 and the height measuring means, a height comparing means 12 to compare the sensing results of the moving body height sensing means with the prescribed height stored previously, and a failure sensing means 13 to work when the height comparing means 12 senses the condition that inside the car is only with moving bodies not filling the prescribed height, transmit a command to order that the car should not travel to other floors and that the door opened condition should be continued.
