Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sediment improving material and a sediment improving method efficiently enhancing stability of a soft ground, and forming sediment suited to growth of seaweeds. SOLUTION: The sediment improving material A is formed imitating rod-like coral gravel by mixing 25-50wt.% coal ash with argil, molding and firing, to form appropriate gaps 3 allowing passing of underground stems 2a of seaweeds 2, when the sediment is built up on the seabed ground 1. The sediment improving material A formed by imitating the rod-like coral gravel is layeredly embedded in the surface layer part of the seabed ground 1 to enhance water permeability of the sediment, preventing flow-out of the sediment, to improve the sediment.
