SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING UNAUTHORIZED USE OF CREDIT CARD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for preventing unauthorized use of a credit card that has low introduction cost and low running cost and can be simply operated. SOLUTION: The security system for credit card transactions has a credit card authentication terminal, which reads data in credit cards and executes authentication enquiries and credit enquiries; a member database storing data of areas which are changeable by previous registration or notification and where credit card members can use the credit card; and an enquiry server 30 that acquires member information of an enquired member from the member database, when authentication enquiry and credit enquiry of the credit card are received from the credit card authentication terminal via a communication line 20 and notifies to the credit card authentication terminal 10 that can execute the transaction, by using the credit card when confirming that the place, where the credit card is used is the area where the credit card member can use the credit card, after confirming the areas where the credit card member can use the credit card (in the unit of, such as country, state, prefecture, and city) contained in the member information.
