Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure and facilitate a diagnosis of abnormalities, such as offset faults in a vehicle-mounted current sensor that detects battery current and alternator-generated current that improves the reliability and accuracy of the fault diagnosis. SOLUTION: Whether an engine keeps on rotating is decided, when it keeps on rotating, it is decided that the output characteristics of a current sensor for detecting a charging/discharging current of a battery is at offset fault toward the output increasing side (upper side), when a state continues for a predetermined time where the battery terminal voltage value is 9 V or lower than the battery electromotive force and the current sensor output value is higher than the offset voltage value.
