Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discriminating male menopause or depression, based on the amounts of testosterone and cortisol existing in blood or saliva, and to provide a method of simultaneously measuring the amounts of testosterone and cortisol in the blood or saliva that uses LC/MS. SOLUTION: The amounts of testosterone and cortisol in the blood or saliva are measured and compared with the measured values of able-bodied persons and patients of male menopause or depression, thereby male menopause or depression is discriminated. In the LC/MS measurement of the amounts of testosterone and cortisol in the blood or saliva, by simultaneously measuring respective generated ions, the amounts of steroid hormones are measured simultaneously.
