Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operating efficiency of an oil pump and to reduce thrust working on a balancer shaft in utilizing the rotation of the balancer shaft of an engine as the driving force of the oil pump. SOLUTION: The oil pump is driven at a reduced speed by one of a pair of balancer shaft 41, 42 through gear transmission means 53, 54. Gear transmission means 48, 49 for synchronously rotating both balancer shafts 41, 42, and the gear transmission means 53, 54 for driving the oil pump, are respectively composed of helical gears. The synchronizing helical gear 49 connected to the one balancer shaft 42, and the helical gear 53 for driving the oil pump, are provided to generate thrust in reverse directions to each other.
