Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment device for carrying out surface treatment to image recording mediums by pressing the image recording medium to a belt-shaped surface treatment means, in which quality deterioration of prints due to fluctuation of a carrying load of the image recording mediums that occurs during surface treatment, is prevented. SOLUTION: A load reducing means to reduce the load added to the carrying of the image recording mediums is provided on a carrying means for carrying the image recording mediums from this surface treatment device to a subsequent process to be accompanied by fluctuation of the carrying load of the image recording mediums.
