AIRBAG SYSTEM FOR FRONT PASSENGER SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag system for a front passenger seat capable of easily suppressing an unnecessary protrusion near the center of a wall portion of the passenger side at the initial airbag expansion. SOLUTION: This airbag system for the front passenger seat includes the airbag 24 having an airbag body 25 and a rectification cloth 31. The airbag body 25 includes an occupant side wall portion 26 and a peripheral wall portion 27 having a gas inflow inlet 28 extending toward front side from the occupant side wall portion 26. The rectification cloth 31 includes a left and a right outflow outlets 37 and 40 which can let out expansion gas, flowing in from the gas inflow inlet 28, to both sides outward in the right/left direction within the airbag body at the position upper than an opening for projection located at an instrument panel. Each of edges 36b and 39b of a side of the occupant side wall portion of peripheral walls 36 and 39 of the right and left outflow outlets of the cloth is connected to the passenger side wall portion 26, so as to be separable at the time of internal pressure rising before completion of airbag body expansion.
