Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve machining accuracy, etc. by eliminating lowering of positioning accuracy generated from a change of the length of a ball screw due to heat. SOLUTION: A movable body 3 slidably supported by a base 26 and driven by the ball screw 12 is arranged on the base 26. A supporting device for supporting one end of the ball screw 12 to be rotatable and axially immovable and supporting the other end to be rotatable and axially movable is arranged on the base 26. A detecting device 24 for measuring the change of the length of the ball screw 12 is mounted. A lead and a ball screw pitch error correcting value are calculated based on the value measured by the detecting device 24.
