IMAGE READING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading method which sufficiently secures an exposure time of an image sensor even when quickly reading a document and has no restrictions in read side in a sub-scanning direction. SOLUTION: The method comprises an image reading step of reading line data by repeatedly and simultaneously exposing a document D at a prescribed feed pitch by a plurality of line sensors 11 and 12 held at a prescribed interval while relatively moving the document and an image generation step of generating effective image data free from overlap and lack of line data by arranging line data read by the reading step in an arrangement order in the document D.
