Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device whose thickness can be reduced. SOLUTION: The light radiated from light emitting diode elements 39 to 42 are reflected depending on the difference of refractive index between an air layer formed in a concave 33 and a light diffusing plane 33A, so that the light reflected form the plurality of light emitting diodes 31 are efficiently mixed in a light guide member 32, and a plane light source is given in a fictive plane parallel to a light out going plane. The diffusion region of the radiated light is not required to be secured in the whole direction of the thickness of the light guide member 32 as convention, so that the thickness of the light guide 32 can be defined thin, and the thickness of the total device can be made small.
