Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens holding device for reproducing/recording information accurately, especially, for reproducing/recording information accurately also in a recording and reproducing device of which the objective lens has a small operation distance, especially, such as recording and reproducing device compatible with a BD (Blue-ray Disk). SOLUTION: Two ribs 30 are formed on a face opposing an optical disk 2 of a lens holder 3 for holding the objective lens 1 so as to hold the objective lens 1, and on a face opposing the optical disk of these ribs, protectors 4 projecting toward the optical disk 2 side are provided higher than the objective lens 1.
