STEAM DRYER OF BOILING WATER REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise the rigidity of a section of a steam dryer of a boiling water reactor on which a vibration load caused by fluid vibration is applied. SOLUTION: A support plate 24 is interposed between a corrugated plate 9 and a corrugated plate 9 in the center section of a steam dryer unit 12 and welded to a top plate 18 and a unit support 19. The side face of the support plate 24 located on the steam passage side is corrugated in the same way as the liquid droplet collection plate 15 welded to the corrugated plate 9 adjacent to the support plate 24 to secure a steam passage on the side face of the support plate 24. The steam inflow width reduced by the thickness of the support plate 24 can be compensated by forming corrugations on the side plate 14 between the side plate 14 and the corrugated plate 9 in the same way as on the liquid droplet collection plate 15. A vibration having nodes on the side plates 14 on both sides and a hood support 20 is further provided with a node by adding the support plate 24 in the approximately center part to raise rigidity against the vibration.
