Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a guardrail and a guardrail plate capable of preventing triangular metal pieces from leaving in the guardrail even if an automobile collides therewith. SOLUTION: This cover for the guardrail comprises a recessed part 130A formed along a recessed part 230 in the guardrail plate 200 and projected parts 110A. 120A formed along projected parts 210, 220. The cover is installed at the connection part of the guardrail plate 200 from a roadway side and conceals the step part of the connection part. The edge parts 111A and 121A of the projected parts 110A and 120A are formed aslant relative to the longitudinal direction of the guard rail plate 200.
