Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or ameliorate dementia or nervous disorder by taking a pulverized product or an extract derived from a plant which has been eaten many times, and which has activities for promoting production of a nerve growth factor. SOLUTION: The pulverized product of a plant of Cruciferae, preferably of genus Brassica, more preferably the sprout of broccoli, kale and cabbage, exhibiting activities for promoting the production of the nerve growth factor, or the extract obtained from the sprout of these plant by using a solvent is provided. The production promoter of the nerve growth factor, and a food and drink having activities for promoting the production of the nerve growth factor contain the pulverized product or the extract as an active ingredient.
