FLOATING BODY CONNECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating body connecting structure using a universal joint not transmitting a moment even to swings as well in the directions up and down and to the left and right as in the rolling direction, ensuring a wide degree of freedom for displacement, and capable of maintaining the durability for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The connecting structure for mooring a floating body floating on a sea to a quay wall or connecting floating bodies together using the universal joint is configured so that the base end of one of the yokes of the universal joint is attached fast to the floating body or the quay wall and a rotating shaft extending in the connecting direction is installed protrusively behind the base end of the other yoke and mounted on the outer surface of the floating body or the quay wall rotatably through a flange, whereby the moment due to swinging of the floating body round the protruded rotating shaft is precluded from being transmitted to the member to be connected owing to rotation of the yokes.
