CONCENTRATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentration device capable of carrying out efficient concentration treatment of a slurry-like liquid in response to settlement easiness/floatation easiness of a solid included in the slurry-like liquid. SOLUTION: A sludge concentration device 1 comprises a concentration tank 7 including a temperature sensor 3b for detecting a sludge temperature, a floatation material recovery part for recovering the solid floating on the sludge liquid surface of introduced sludge and a settlement material recovery part for recovering the solid settled under the introduced slurry-like liquid, a pressure tank 5 for introducing the sludge into the concentration tank 7 in a pressurized state or a non-pressurized state, and a control part 23 selecting whether the sludge is introduced in a pressurized state or a non-pressurized state based on the sludge temperature detected by the temperature sensor 3b to control the pressure tank 5 so as to introduce the sludge into the concentration tank by a selected introduction method.
