Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a digital broadcast receiver and emergency warning broadcasting system in which instantaneous rapid increase in total power consumption in a certain area is suppressed even if a number of digital broadcast receivers within the relevant area are simultaneously initiated. SOLUTION: If an emergency situation occurs, a broadcasting station transmits emergency warning contents and transmits an emergency warning control signal containing an initiation flag and an area code designating a reception target. The broadcast receiver demodulates the emergency warning contents and the emergency warning control signal and in a filter section 17, an area code set to the relevant digital broadcast receiver is compared with area code information contained in the relevant emergency warning signal. If the set area code is contained in the area code information, an emergency warning is output from a voice output means 14 or warning sound output means 30. Furthermore, the broadcast receivers are initiated while providing a time lag in initiation timings by using CASID.
