OPTICAL MODULE AND CAMERA MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical module which is compact, thin, satisfactory in movement accuracy, superior in assemblability and low cost. SOLUTION: In the optical module, a stepping motor 26 and a lens barrel 27 moved by a moving means 28 are positionally deviated from each other, and arranged on one surface of a base plate 23 so that the optical axis of the lens barrel is parallel to the axial line of a rotor 37, and further, a reduction gear train 29 interlocking the rotor with the moving means is arranged on the same surface. A guide shaft 46 and a rotation-preventing shaft 49 are supported in cantilever structure perpendicularly to the reference surface of the base plate jointed to a circuit board 22. The rotation-preventing shaft is molded integrally with the base plate, and a coil block 35 and a yoke 36 integrated by welding and having a positioning reference hole are arranged.
