Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device for an internal combustion engine accurately detecting knock frequency component generated in ion current even via a secondary side of an ignition coil. SOLUTION: In the ignition device provided with an igniter on a primary side of the ignition coil, a spark plug on one side of the secondary side thereof, an ion current detection device and an engine control part on the secondary side, a secondary inductance, a secondary resistor and a floating capacity capacitor determining secondary impedance are provided on the secondary side of the ignition device, and is provided with an ion current detection device characterized by setting the secondary inductance L2 to 5 to 10H.
