OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restraint system furnished with an air bag to expand to the front of an occupant and an expansion type seat belt a shoulder belt part of which at least is free to expand and capable of preventing or restraining outflow of gas in the air bag out of the air bag as the expanded shoulder belt part sinks into the air bag. SOLUTION: This occupant restraint system is furnished with the air bag 10 to expand to the front of the occupant and the air belt 70 having the expansive shoulder belt part 71 drawn around to the front side of an upper half of the body of the occupant. The air bag 10 is constituted of a right half side air bag 12 and a left half side air bag 14 to respectively expand to the right side and the left side in the front of the occupant. The expanded shoulder belt 71 enters a space part 13 between occupant side head end parts of the right half side air bag 12 and the left half side air bag 14 in the case when the air bag 10 catches the occupant when both of the air bag 10 and the shoulder belt part 71 expand.
