PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder/reproducer which can perform an operation for erasing a broadcast program video recorded on a recording medium such as an optical disc and for recording a broadcast program easily in a short time. SOLUTION: When the auto video recording key 22a of a remote controller 20 is depressed, all broadcast programs already video recorded on an optical disc 10 such as DVD-RW are erased, a broadcast program under reception is video recorded on the optical disc 10 after erasure, and finalization is performed in order to make the video recorded broadcast programs reproducible after video recording is ended. Consequently, it is not required to depress a video recording key 22c while waiting the end of erasure after the operation for erasing all broadcast programs is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
