PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner with further improved maintainability, capable of providing measures for recovery even when slime or the like is generated. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is provided with a water receptor 4 storing condensed water generated during refrigeration cycle operation, a plurality of condensed water level detecting means 5 and 7 detecting a water level of the condensate at different detection water levels, and a drainage system 1 of a variable drainage amount discharging the condensate to an exterior. By changing a drainage amount of the drainage system 1 when a lowermost water level detecting means 5 of the condensate level detecting means detects no water level, and a detecting means 7 position higher detects a water level, operation is carried out safely without causing leakage as a matter of course, but also, specification of a faulty part, and specification of a cause of malfunction occurrence is facilitated, recovery measures can be taken, and the air conditioner with further improved maintainability can be provided.
