NEWSPAPER-PRINTING PAPER FOR COLD OFFSET PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newspaper-printing paper used for a cold offset printing, without forming soil in a printing process and excellent in finished print in a high quality multi-colored printing such as a highly brilliant printing, highly colored printing, etc., by using a cold-offset type rotary printing press. SOLUTION: This offset-printing paper produced by applying a surface-treating agent containing starch and latex as binders and calcium carbonate and kaolinite as pigments over at least one side surface of a stock paper so as to become ≤1.4 g/m2per one side surface and drying is provided by having ≥55% whiteness, ≥90% opacity after the printing and 0.50-0.65 dynamic frictional coefficient, and containing the pigments by (50:50) to (90:10) range mass ratio of the calcium carbonate to the kaolinite.
